Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Crate Training Comment: Parker started his day work some crate conditioning, at first he was hesitant to even step in the crate but with some repetition he was going in on his own. We practiced closing the door without Parker wanting to get out. At first Parker wasn't very comfortable with this but after a bit if time he was happy to relax while the door was bring shut. Focus: Desensitisation B
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: Parker worked on his place skill in the classroom with a game if Red light, green light. We used a tennis ball to play with to get Parker excited before putting him on place to get him to settle down. One settled we give him his release word and play again. Parker stepped off place before release early a bit but as we continued with the game he was happier to stay on until given his release word. Focus: Conditioning B
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: Parker worked on his drop in the classroom around other dogs. Parker found his duration challenging, popping up before his release word a bit but after some repetition he was staying in the skill until his break marker. The longer the lesson went the more reliable the drop was. Focus: Repetition C+
