Our feedback
Pancakes had fun working in the classroom in the warmth while listening to the rain outside. We used a mixture of distractions as well as strengthening the foundations of her skills.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

Skill | Comment | We focused on | Grade |
---|---|---|---|
Skill learnt: Place Training | Comment: We started pancakes day with her place skill. We had Waffles in the room being trained at the same time, which we used as a distraction for Pancakes. Pancakes started the lesson stepping off quite a bit but after a bit of repetition she was staying on consistently. She showed she has a good understanding of the foundations of the skill, hopping on and off when asked. | Focus: Distraction | B |
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) | Comment: Pancakes worked on this skill in the classroom, focusing on her engagement. Pancakes stayed glued to her trainer’s side, not taking her attention off of him throughout the entire lesson. We used food distractions as well as walking nearby other dogs in the room to try and distract Pancakes but she continued putting her focus into the skill for treats. | Focus: Obedience | A |
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down | Comment: Pancakes finished her day working on this skill in the classroom, focusing on her duration in the skill. Pancakes kept popping back up after a few seconds in the skill so we practiced keeping Pancakes in the skill until her release word. After a bit of repetition she was happy to stay in the skill to get more treats. | Focus: Distraction | C+ |
