Opal's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: This session was all about her drop duration while the trainer moved around her. Opal was a little bit cheeky so we made sure to reinforce those boundaries - reminding her to go back into the drop until she hears that release word. We were able to move around her slowly while she held her drop position. Keep building up the distractions while she holds her drop, we want to proof that skill as much as possible! Focus: Duration B+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: We worked outside on her place skill this session, utilising all the environmental distractions to challenge her! Opal was a little distracted, showing limited engagement with the trainer, however she would remain on the bed (sniffing the air). This can be worked on over time however she still showed good understanding of the place skill and listened to the trainer when we asked her to do the skill. Focus: Distraction C+
Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object) Comment: This session focused on her paws up skill. Since she showed some progress with it yesterday we wanted to continue improving her understanding of this. Opal still needed that treat lure and lots of guidance from the trainer however she was quicker to get her feet on the pod today! We were able to practice some repetitions on and off the pod. Keep working on this one at home - its great fun! Focus: Foundation B
