Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) | Comment: Since Opal has been coming to us for a while and she has been doing so much unique training recently the trainer wanted to spend this first session on something basic just ti make sure the skill was still strong and so took her for a loose lead walk. She was taken around the entire property including into the pet resort and walked around, she was also tested on her sits and door manners. Like expected Opal smashed this today easily being able to keep a nice loose lead, it helps that she is super keen to work and be around the trainers and that they work with this getting her really excited when ever she returns to then or stays close, she did so awesome for this first session so got a bit of play and cuddles to finish in a nice positive note. | Focus: Manners | B+ |
Skill learnt: Trick Training | Comment: For her second session today the trainer continued her “parkour” training. Like mentioned last time Opal loves a good physical trick so they have started teaching her to wall run or “parkour” as our trainers call it. As you can see from her social video today she is making great progress with this, getting her nice and excited helps with adding in some needed energy into her movement which allowed her today to realise that in order to get all 4 paws on the board she needs to jump a little bit! She seriously smashed this session doing much better than last time and even starting to increase the angle of the board she is running across to get even closer to being flat against the wall! | Focus: Foundation | C+ |
Skill learnt: Trick Training | Comment: For her final session today the trainer continued her parkour skill since she was doing so well with this! She was able to yet again increase the speed at which she was jumping and the degrees of an angle the board was on as well! Since she did so well straight out of the bat the trainer finished with some trick routines of some of her favourite tricks and then a nice cuddle session with her best mate Sam! All in all Opal was amazing today as usual and she continues to impress us every-time she comes in for training and we can’t wait to have her back again! | Focus: Repetition | B |
