Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: First session Opal worked on her place. Today we focused on building her duration around higher distractions (fast trainer movement and balls/toys). Opal looooves bouncy balls and it took a few repetitions and re sets before she remained on place while the trainer bounced the ball. We also worked on send to place in a higher arousal state to help with redirecting behaviours at home. With the cans and such at home it sounds like she may be recognising the pattern of events when you move to the door, have her on lead and on place and work on breaking the pattern. Focus: Distraction C+
Skill learnt: Middle Position Comment: Opals second session we worked on her middles skill. Initially she needed the help of lure but quickly responded to the verbal cue. She does well coming into position from behind the trainer. When coming into position from the front she does still need a lure to help her turn around but showing good progress. We also worked on her movement while in middles, she required minimal luring and will follow a hand gesture to walk. Focus: Repetition B
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Final session Opal worked on her sit pretty trick. She is picking this up well, she still needs a lure at times especially while building duration but is beginning to hold the final position well. Great work Opal! Focus: Duration B
