It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: Mr Talbot was an absolute champion today! Not only was he positive and had great energy his engagement was amazing! Focus: Distraction A
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: For his second session today the trainer worked on some cafe training with him specifically on his place skill! Today they tested him a little as there was a little staff meeting happening in the classroom, this was the perfect opportunity to simulate a cafe environment! The trainer got a towel out and laid it next to the meeting, they then started by walking Ollie up to the towel and getting him to go on place rewarding for keeping engagement on the trainer and not on the others talking. About halfway through the session they then got Ollie on the towel and kept him there, he was rewarded for engagement and good behaviours such as checking in with the trainer and ignoring people walking past him, he was then further tested by having a bouncing ball thrown around him simulating random things happening all of a sudden out at the cafe like a crashing plate or loud person running past, he did awesome, he did break a few times however he was very quick to recover and come back to the towel! Focus: Desensitisation B+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: For his last session today the trainer took him out to the lawns, tethered him to the flower bed and put him on place, they then proceeded to play the trumpet for him! Starting at a distance far away and slowly moving closer the trainer would reward Ollie for staying on place and not running away from the sound, he was rewarded with big tasty rewards for this session as we really want to create a positive relationship between loud noises and Ollie’s reaction, while they still allowed him to bark a little at the sound but not get off the place bed. The trainer was able to walk all the way up to Ollie and play the trumpet right next to him today as he sang a tune for the trainer! He smashed this so for the last little bit of this session they took him back to the classroom and had a little play while doing some red light green light, he was so impressive today and to be able to see how far he has come and all his progress today for his final day of training for the year was an amazing way to finish! We can’t wait to have him back again next year for some more training fun and thank you so much for the care package! The training team and pet resort staff are very thankful! Focus: Desensitisation B
