Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Ollie’s first session was loose lead walking. The trainer managed to get Ollie outside before the rain came but Ollie did struggle to focus and just wanted to get the smells. The trainer changed direction numerous times and Ollie started to focus a little more. Next time the trainer we would like to see more engagement from Ollie at the start of the session rather than the end. Focus: Distraction C+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Hanky pull was the second session for Ollie. He did a fantastic job with this and by the end of the session he was really starting to pull the hanky. Next time the trainer would like to put it on a crate and get Ollie to use it to pull the door open. Focus: Repetition B
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: For his final session the trainer focused on drops with Ollie, including a refresh on door manners. Ollie did well in the classroom but once outside needed a few repetitions to get in position when told. The trainer the. Progressed to the office and kitchen where there were quite a number of staff preparing feeds. Ollie certainly struggled with this and he broke position a lot. Next time the trainer will focus on exposing Ollie to this environment again to help him hold position. Focus: Distraction C
