|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Oil’s first session was place. He clearly has a good grasp of place but his duration wasn’t as good. Whenever the trainer stepped away from the place bed Oli would get off. The trainer worked with Oli and by the end of the session Oli’s duration under the trainer movement distraction was much better. Keep practicing at home but make sure you move the place around. Don’t always do it in the same spot.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Second session for Oli was drop. Again Oli knows drop but the duration wasn’t there. The trainer worked with Oli and Oli did progress. His good motivation is great but does start demanding if you aren’t giving treats. The trainer ignored this behaviour and didn’t offer treats at that time. By the end of the session the duration that Oli was holding drop was greatly improved. Next time it would be good to see Oli holding the drop from the start of the session and more distractions added.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: Final session was car and animal exposure for Oli. Oil did really well with the cars and alpacas. He didn’t bark although he showed an interest. Oil did struggle to hold a drop while the distractions were there so this is something the trainer will work on in future sessions.||Focus: Desensitisation||B+|
