Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: In Oli’s first session we trained place with distractions. At the start we were just rewiring his brain to see how his duration was, it wasn’t to bad but we worked with it we then got the tennis balls out bouncing them then the bubbles, he would break if I would walk around the object so then we were practicing that and squatting down as well. He progressed well eventually would lay down which was great and I was sending him to place from a distance as well which was amazing. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object) Comment: Oli’s second session we trained paws up. At first he wasn’t sure on what to do eventually with lures we got both paws on a tub eventually we progressed to a bosu ball and he did amazing. We kept practicing that then we started pushing his back legs around the object with his two front paws still on the object, he did do pretty well with that but only new to the skill so practice is needed. Focus: Duration A+
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: Oli’s last session we trained recalls outside in the training yard. Oli’s did do really really well in this session I can tell you guys have kept practicing this skill which is fantastic, I would try when he’s coming to you though and is at your feet get him to sit but don’t say the word as sit is basically apart of the recall skill at the end, so lure your hand up to get him to sit then reward. Focus: Distraction A+

We recommend your next step should be…
