Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For Newman's first session the trainer worked on loose lead as in the kennels he had been pulling on the lead a bit more than he usually did. At first he pulled quite a lot but soon settled well and was walking quite well. The trainer took him around most parts of the property and he was interested in the alpaca's but didn't pull to get to them, which was great. It was good to do a concentrated session like this with Newman just to brush up on his basics again. Focus: Repetition B
Skill learnt: Obstacle Course (Confidence Building) Comment: For the second session, Newman went around the confidence course again. He is really doing well with this. The trainer also used the time to brush up on place and drop outside. Again Newman did well although place he did break a couple of times, overall he did a great job. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Bow was the focus for Newman's last session. He is really getting the hang of this trick now and the trainers would like to keep working to fade out the lure. During this session the trainer also got Newman to practice his other tricks, middle, spin, etc to help break up the session for him, so as not to get overloaded on the bow trick. Focus: Repetition D+
