Nala did really well today! There were a couple skills she didn’t get the hang of, but always gave it her best shot!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: Nala started off her day being conditioned to a trainer she has not seen since her last stay. Nala seemed to remember her and had the cutest little wiggle butt! She was super excited once she saw the lead and began jumping lots, but with the use of treats and her ‘sit’ skill, Nala was able to settle a little before leaving. Once in the classroom, the trainer played an engagement game with Nala involving treats and being rewarded whenever she looked at the trainer. Even when a new dog entered the room, Nala remained focused, which is awesome!||Focus: Conditioning||X|
|Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object)||Comment: Next up, Nala worked on nailing her ‘drop’ skill. The trainer began by luring Nala under her legs while sitting on the couch, making her need to crawl down in a sense. Nala was a little anxious about this motion, but did follow the food nicely. There was one time in which she dropped and was heavily rewarded, but did not seem to want to do it again. Instead of pushing her, the trainer switched to her ‘paws up’ skill, focusing on building her confidence. Nala did amazing! She happily put two paws on the pods presented to her and remained there until released. Once home, keep focusing on these 2 skills and let us know how you go!||Focus: Confidence||B|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: To finish off, Nala began learning a new skill, ‘hold’, which can slowly be progressed to the quoits trick, where she can place a ring on the stand! Nala did really well! She is just learning the basics of hold, so when presented with the ring she would mouth it and be rewarded. This was repeated throughout the session. Once she has better foundation, we can begin to increase the duration she holds the ring for. Great job today, Nala!||Focus: Foundation||B|
