Nala was such a good girl today and was so excited when the trainer first walked up to her kennel!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: For Nalas first session we worked on conditioning her to the word ‘yes’. This is an important tool when training Nala as it allows you to mark the correct behaviour rather than reaching for a treat where by the time you’ve gotten one her doing another behaviour. This consisted of saying ‘yes’ and then giving Nala a reward (in this case fritz). Nala didn’t have to do anything specific however we did use her sits at time! The next step for Nala will be to continue working on conditioning her to the work ‘yes’ and she is still learning this.||Focus: Conditioning||X|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: For Nalas second session we worked on her confidence by doing a confidence walk. This consisted of walking around the facilities allowing Nala to explore and rewarding her whenever she did explore something new! She did so well! There was one time a male walked past and Nala did bark at him however with slight lead pressure and calling her away from him, the trainer was able to redirect her attention. She also put her tail between her legs when another female staff member walked past. The next step for Nala will be to keep exposing her to new people and new environments so we can eventually get her into the classroom around other dogs!||Focus: Confidence||X|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: For Nalas last session we worked on confidence again by having her in the playpen. We played some tug and she got lots of yummy treatos. Throughout this session we have multiple staff walking past the playpen and we were rewarding her whenever they did! This is to help show Nala that strange people don’t bring a treat and instead bring lots of good things! The next step for Nala will be to continue conditioning her to new people.||Focus: Confidence||X|
