Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Myah was very excited today so her first session was loose lead and engagement from the kennels to the classroom. She was very distracted but had a good understanding of the marker 'yes' so it wasn't long before she was walking nicely and engaged with her trainer. They walked around the facility where she was encouraged to explore and returned to the trainers side when called. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: The trainer noticed that Myah sometimes ignores the drop command so decided to play the shell game with drop. This also worked on duration and distraction as she was required to remain in drop with the food moving in front of her until released. After a few repetitions Myahs drops were improving as she was eager to play the game. What a great way to improve obedience, focus and get then to use their sniffer! Focus: Repetition B
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: For Myahs last session she was getting tired therefore the trainer focused on her known skills spin and peekaboo. Within a low distracting environment she did really well but as soon as the distractions increased she struggled to remain engaged. People were the biggest biggest distraction for Myah but she still did great with her skills. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: Between sessions Myah was encouraged to relax on place. She broke place a few times but settled well and graced the us with her awoos. Myah was such a pleasure to train today, I hope she had a great time Focus: Duration B
