Murphy's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For her first session today the trainer worked on her loose lead walking skills with a focus on engagement. She was full of beans coming out of the accomodation today so the trainer ensued to make sure her focus was on them! While loose lead walking the trainer would entice her but calling her name, every time she looked up she was rewarded with a treat! She did really well this session being able to channel her energy into the training. Focus: Obedience C+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: (Cafe training) For her second session today the trainer worked on some cafe conditioning. To help with this the trainer worked on some place but instead of using a bed they used a towel! This is a technique we like to use as having an object for the dog to go to place on makes it easier for them to form good behaviours especially out in such a high distraction environment such as a cafe! We understand that a towel might be a bit annoying to carry around to the trainer wants to get her to actually go to place on a serviette so you can arrive at the cafe and put one on the floor for Murphy to “place” on to make it easier for her to calm down! Focus: Conditioning C+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: (Roll over) For her last session today the trainer wanted to work on something fun and so did roll over! This isn’t just a fun skill but it also works towards raising Murphy’s confidence in her own body and its capabilities! To do this we lure Murphy while she is in a drop and get her to go on her side, from here we lure up and over her head and then back towards her tail end getting her body to move into a rolling motion! Since she is just starting this skill the trainer just wanted to get her on her side into the first position as this was still new for her, from here we can roll her over next session. She did really well showing the trainer she had a good understanding of the first position by the end of the session ending in a really positive note! Focus: Foundation C
