Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Middle Position Comment: First session Murphy worked on middles. It’s been awhile since she has worked on this so we went back to basic luring her through the trainers leg. Murphy picked this up quickly but still needs the guidance of a lure to help her out. We focused on lots of repetition to help build a strong understanding of the skill as this skill is a great way to break up normal recall training as to do the middles skill Murphy needs to recall back to you. Focus: Back to Basics C+
Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object) Comment: Murphys second session we worked on some Paws Up. Murphy was unsure of the pod at first but with the help of luring quickly hopped up onto the pod. Over the session we were able to increase her duration before releasing her. This trick is a great way to break up obedience training and have fun with different objects as well as build rear end awareness. Focus: Repetition B
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: For Murphys final session we worked on some grooming conditioning. We used Murphys bed skill to have her settle while the trainer started with brushing her, then checking her ears/eyes/teeth. From there we did some nail trim conditioning by holding her foot and having nail clippers out and finished up with clipper conditioning. We got her used to the sounds before turning it off and focusing on getting her used to the clippers being near her. Murphy did quite well this session! Focus: Conditioning B+

We recommend your next step should be…
