A good day for Munchkin. But has started jumping a little

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Munchkin’s first session was loose lead walking as well as gate manners. Munchkin likes to push through the gate so the trainer spent time getting Munchkin calm and sitting before entering walkways. The kennel aisle was Munchkin’s loose lead walk today. He was extremely distracted while another person was present in the area. The trainer kept changing direction and when the person left Munchkin progressed well, including starting to walk straight past another dog behind the gate. Great progress Munchkin.||Focus: Distraction||C|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Munchkin’s second session was place outside. He did struggle with this at the start, as the dogs in yards were barking. He did start to settle but then started jumping to get treats. The trainer had to work hard to get him to settle on place again without jumping. Going forward the trainer will work on this new distraction with Munchkin.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Final session for Munchkin was again loose lead walking but this time outside. It took the whole 15 minutes to walk from the classroom to the back of the kennels. This is because every time Munchkin pulled the trainer went the other way. Munchkin’s engagement was great also. The trainer will continue to work with more distractions next time||Focus: Distraction||B|
