Munchkin was very confident and responded well to his training today!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: The first session focused on Munchkins 'drop'. He really struggled with this skill and required a lure to go into it from a stand. When in the position he had no duration and broke before being released. The trainer focused on the basics with this skill. This is an important safety skill as well as a skill to utilise to promote manners so should also be practiced at home||Focus: Back to Basics||D+|
|Skill learnt: Play||Comment: Due to Munchkin's recent attack the trainer wanted to further condition other dogs as a positive as well as reduce his mouthing on arms and did so with a session of tug. By playing with Munchkin around other dogs it keeps his attention away from them as well as associates them with something pleasurable. By playing with tug he was learning more control with what he can and can't play with (see Instagram story for detail).||Focus: Conditioning||B+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Munchkin struggles to settle down so by focusing on the place skill with duration encourages him to relax within a distracting environment. As other dogs were in training he worked on send to place and duration with the trainer. To encourage him to remain on place he was given a Lickimat which he thoroughly enjoyed. He still struggled on place and broke a few times but showed improvement towards the end of session.||Focus: Back to Basics||C+|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: The trainers also had Munchkin's brother (different mothers) at training today so they took the opportunity for a quick photo shoot with them both.||Focus: Desensitisation||A|
