Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Munchkin’s first session was loose lead walking. The trainer did this up and down the main kennel aisle with other dogs in close vicinity. Munchkin was a little distracted but did well, the trainer continued to change direction when Munchkin pulled. The trainer then took Munchkin to the classroom and he settle really well on the walk. The trainer will continue to work with Munchkin with this level of distractions. Focus: Distraction C+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Second session for Munchkin was spin. This is a good skill for Munchkin to have as it is able to be used to get his focus back on his handler. Munchkin followed the lure around well and by the end of the session the trainer was able to fade the food lure out. Next time the trainer will keep working on this with Munchkin to further fade the lure out. Focus: Repetition B
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: Final session for Munchkin was place with around. He place skill today was a little lazy so the trainer worked on this for a while before moving onto the around skill. Munchkin did do this a few times but was still a bit lazy with his place skill. Next time the trainer would like to get Munchkin’s place skill better proofed. Focus: Repetition C
