Moose's Doggy Dayschool Report

2023-09-06

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For his first session we took advantage of the lovely sunshine and worked on loose lead in the carpark. Moose can be a bit cheeky and can cut in front a bit or lean into the trainer's legs while walking so we focused on having him wall nicely besides the trainer. He did quite well but did get distracted if people walked past - he just loves to be around them! Focus: Distraction C+
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: For his second session we worked on drops in the classroom. Moose did need a lot of guidance into his drop so we worked on his duration and starting to reduce his reliance on the lure. He can get quite easily distracted so we kept the duration short - at home work on building his duration (having him only get up with his release word) and slowly reducing the lure into drop. Focus: Duration C+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: For his last session we worked on place with Moose. Moose has some good basics in place so we worked on continuing to build his duration while adding in distractions (having the trainer move around the bed). Moose did quite well with this though he did get very distracted by a toy poodle dog with some barking so continuing to work on his focus around dogs during Dayschools can help with his behaviour. Focus: Distraction C+

We recommend your next step should be…
