|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For her first session today Montana worked hard on her engagement with loose lead walking. We practiced this outside all over the property. To really test her we weaved in and out of trees. She smashed this, keeping up with the trainer and not stopping to smell anything. Keep up the good work with her loose lead, she really seems to like it when it’s kept interesting and different! Remember to take high value treats for high distracting environments and keep rewarding for engagement. As she gets better we can start to reward less with food and more with verbal praise.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: For her second session today Montana worked on a fun new skill! We pulled out the hoop and started luring her through it. This skill is great for confidence and is just lots of fun. Montana was a bit hesitant to start with but was eager to follow the treats which helped lots. By the end of the session Montana was going through without any problems. Keep working on this one, slowly raising the height and getting her to go through faster.||Focus: Confidence||B+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For her last session today we worked on her drop duration with some mild distractions in the classroom. Montana did really well throughout this session. There was another dog training in the room at the same time and she couldn’t care less about them which is awesome. We were able to get Montana in a drop and walk all the way around her without her breaking position. She did break position a couple times of the trainer stepped closer to her, she seemed a bit funny about this so we worked on that slowly, making our moving slow and predictable. She got much better toward the end! Keep working on her drops she is progressing well.||Focus: Duration||B+|
