Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: Session one with Molly we practiced the skill of drop. We began this skill by trying a few different methods, Molly didn’t respond to our go to methods “Sphinx” and drop from a sit. So the trainer lured molly under her leg until Molly formed into a drop which was then rewarded with treats and her reward marker “yes”. This was practiced throughout the session. The next step for this skill is to re visit the “Sphinx method” which is luring Molly from standing into a drop by putting the treat near her nose and luring at a 45* angle between her legs. Focus: Obedience A
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: Session two we practiced the skill of place. This skill will be very helpful in helping Little Molly to relax and have a place to go chill out and feel safe. The trainer started by luring Molly onto the bed and continually rewarding her to build duration until released with the word “Break”. Molly did really well! She had amazing engagement and was super eager to learn. Focus: Obedience A+
Skill learnt: Sit Comment: Session three we practiced the skill of door manners. We started by asking for Molly to sit and rewarding her for being calm, when the trainer opened the door if Molly was calm and didn’t barge through she was rewarded and allowed to walk through. If she barged through the trainer shut the door and put her back into a sit. Molly did struggle but that was to be expected due to it being her first session on this skill. Focus: Manners A+

We recommend your next step should be…
