Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: In her first session, Molly focused on further developing her skill ' loose lead' walking while outside. We focused on this skill to build engagement. Molly struggled to engage with her trainer throughout this session, she also struggled with her confidence in new environments. As the session progressed she slowly began to redirect her focus onto the trainer. We suggest practising her loose lead at home. Focus: Foundation C
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: In her second session, Molly focused on further developing her skill 'drop' with duration under distractions. We focused on this skill as Molly can struggle to hold her duration while in drop. Molly performed very well, she did not break drop, despite the trainer moving around the classroom, as well as moving different objects. We suggest practising this skill at home, in a low distraction environment. Slowly building her duration. Focus: Duration A
Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object) Comment: In her final session, Molly focused on further developing her confidence with 'paws up'. Molly was initially hesitant to touch the step, however with lots of patience and treats she slowly began to interact with the step, touching it with one paw, then two. After 5 minutes Molly was doing an amazing job, she was following a lure on and off the step. We suggest continuing to practise this skill at home. Focus: Confidence C+

We recommend your next step should be…
