|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: In her first session Molly focused on further developing her loose lead and engagement while walking near Cadbury. We focused on this skill to improve there overall walking skills together. Molly was initially distracted by Cadbury, she showed little engagement and displayed challenging behaviors of pulling on lead. The trainer began to incorporate mini recalls while walking to redirect her focus when she was focused on Cadbury. By the end of the session, she was walking well and showed good engagement.||Focus: Distraction||C|
|Skill learnt: Targeting (touch)||Comment: In her second session, Molly focused on further developing her skill ‘touch’ with repetitions within the classroom (Cadbury on passive place). Molly performed very well, she showed good engagement and respond well to the verbal cue ‘touch’. The trainer was able to begin moving the target and asking for touch from a controlled position, Molly respond well to this development.||Focus: Foundation||B+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: In between each session Molly was challenged with remaining in drop despite the high distracting classroom. She broke drop once, but began to maintain it well.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: In her final session Molly focused on conditioning to bandaging, we believe this is a great skill for our dogs to be exposed to, ensuring if it is ever needed, they have been conditioned already. Molly performed well, she happily remained in a drop while the trainer bandaged her foot. We suggest practicing this at home.||Focus: Foundation||B|
