Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Mojo started off his day focusing on his ‘skateboard’ trick, still working on his duration and pushing himself. At first he was hesitant to get his paws on, but with the help of treats he found his confidence. The trainer found Mojo was more confident in pushing himself when he was on the same side of the trainer, rather than opposite. Keep practicing this at home! Focus: Duration B
Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object) Comment: Mojo’s next session was focused on building his confidence with his ‘paws up’ skill, using different objects. Mojo began with two inflatable, spiky pods and was able to put 1 front paw on each. Mojo then moved onto the big wobble board. He did awesome! He was brave enough to stand on the whole thing, even though he was very wobbly! Our goal for Mojo is to remain on there while building his balancing. Focus: Confidence A
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: To finish off the day, Mojo began to learn a new trick ‘roll out a mat/blanket’. This is where the trainer leaves treats in a rolled up yoga mat and Mojo used his nose to unroll the mat, eating the treats as he goes for his reward. He SMASHED it! The next step once he gets more used to this trick is to have less treats hidden so we can work towards him rolling out the mat with just a verbal cue/hand signal. Good work today, Mojo! Focus: Foundation A
