|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: For Mojo’s first session today we worked on his skateboard skill. We mainly focused on building his confidence with movement and using his back legs. He follows the lure onto the skateboard really well and would cope with small movement of the board but as soon as it moved to a point where he had to move his back legs he would step off. To combat this we worked on small movements of the board and heavily rewarded any attempt to move his back legs. This just needs practice and eventually he will figure out how to use his back legs to walk along.||Focus: Repetition||B|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: For Mojo’s second session today we worked on his rollover skill. He is definitely improving with this skill, we started by getting him into the drop position and then lured him over to one side. He tends to stretch as far as he can and then flop onto his side. Once he has flopped onto his side we can then keep guiding him with the lure until he flips his legs over. We managed to get a few decent attempts of his rollover, it just needs practice so he can link all the parts into one skill!||Focus: Repetition||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For Mojo’s last session today we tested his drop skill with some weird distractions today. He did pretty good with this today, he managed to stay in a drop while the trainer did push ups, spun a hoola hoop, skated around and did lunges all around him. The only one he broke position for was the hoola hoop, there is quite a lot of movement in this so it startled him a bit. Eventually though he got used to it and it didn’t phase him by the end of the session! His drops are very good, they just need practice around lots of different situations.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
