|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: For his first session today we had him working on his skateboard skill. He is really good with his paws up skill which we utilise to get him onto the board. Once he has two feet on the board we are able to move it very slowly. He struggles to move his back legs to keep up so he ends up stretched out and we have to coax him to bring his back legs in. He doesn’t seem to like the movement of the board so it’s a matter of building his confidence with small movements and build up to having him push it himself.||Focus: Confidence||C+|
|Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object)||Comment: For his second session today we had him working on paws up. We did this with two pods to start with and he did really well getting his front feet on individual pods. We then proceeded to add two more pods and tried to get him to have all four feet on different pods. He managed to get three paws up but he really struggled to shift his weight and get that last leg up. This takes time and all he needs is practice and to learn how to coordinate his back end! He did really well.||Focus: Repetition||B|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: For his last session today we worked on his bow skill. He did really well with this and has shown quick progress. We started with the raised bed and had his back end on and front end off the edge. We then used the lure and moved it down towards the ground. He held him bum up in the air which is exactly what we wanted! We moved off the bed and we were able to get him in position. He was released after not long to avoid him putting him bum on the floor. After a few repetitions he had this nailed and was doing it consistently. It just needs practice and after a little while a verbal/visual cue can be introduced.||Focus: Repetition||C+|
