|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: In mojos first session we focused on “place” because he’s only a puppy we used a lot of luring from the nose to place or when we wanted him to “break” from place luring his nose of the bed with food as well. Mojo actually did so well for a puppy, he love his food which helps us with trying so much. Next session I would still like to work on this as much as we can until we can add the words in such as “place” and “break” when we take him of place we still say “break” now but still luring his nose of the bed as he still doesn’t understand the words. Training this at home will help him develop a lot quicker, if you have a bed that’s lifted of the ground that’s perfect, when getting him on to place lure his nose right from his nose with food on to the bed which is place, reward him with the word “yes” and food and reward him as much as you can. When taking him of from place say “break” but still lure his nose of the bed.||Focus: Repetition||C+|
|Skill learnt: Crate Training||Comment: In mojos second session we trained drop, again cause he’s only a puppy luring was needed from the nose to the floor. Mojo will be a fantastic dog once he starts to learn his basics. He preform extremely well in his drops with other dogs and people around. Next session I would like to work on this until he keep progressing, all takes time because he is only a puppy but with some good training he will progress amazingly. When training this what we do is get him to take a few steps forward then lure his noise to the floor, but the lure needs to be from his nose to his belly because if we just do it from his nose straight to the floor he won’t drop will just try and get the food out of your hand. Once he’s in a drop reward him with the word “yes” and food reward as much as you can.||Focus: Repetition||C+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Mojos third session we trained place with duration, mojo did extremely well seeing as he’s only new to these skills. We did a video of him doing this skill that will hopefully be uploaded sometime. Mojo was so well behaved doing this skill there were a few times he would break from place but that’s what’s expected from a puppy. Next session I would still love to work on this with him to build his skill level up. Training this at home same as place, so luring his nose onto place, adding duration is taking one step back and forward then reward with “yes” and treats, next take two steps back then reward again if he breaks don’t be to harsh on him as he is only learning.||Focus: Duration||C+|
