Miro's Doggy Dayschool Report

2023-11-10

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: We focused on building engagement and reinforcing any good decisions Miro made. We started as soon as we retrieved him from his accomodation, training starts from the second that lead is attached. As we made our way to the classroom he did pull a couple times, the trainer stopped and guided him back to our side each time. Once in the classroom he showed some better engagement - the excitement of getting to the classroom proved difficult for him! Miro showed a good capacity to remain by our side, make sure you are working in environments suitable for his levels! Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: We had some fun this session with the tug toy and his drop skills. Miro loved the tug toy so we used this as a motivator. We would ask for the drop, then release him into a game of tug. When we were ready we said "out" and held the toy against our body (making the game dead), this encouraged him to let go. We then repeated the whole cycle! He loved this - great way to work his brain and body. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: We set up two place beds and practiced sending him to place but Miro had to pay attention to where the trainer was pointing, as to which bed to go to! He struggled initially, going back to the same bed but with some help he started to figure it out! Focus: Repetition B+

We recommend your next step should be…
