Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: In her first session, Millie focused on building engagement and her confidence with her skill loose lead. We focused on this as Millie was initially nervous and kept dropping to the floor. As the session progressed, she began to redirect her focus onto the trainer and ignore the distractions (2 dogs in the classroom). The trainer also incorporated her known skill spin to help boost her confidence. Focus: Distraction C+
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: In her second session, Millie focused on further developing her skill drop with duration under distractions. We focused on this skill as the trainers have noticed Millie can struggle with her duration when in drop. Millie performed very well, she showed great engagement and did not break drop despite distractions, including human movement, balls, toys, food and more. Well done Millie. Focus: Distraction A
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: In her final session, Millie focused on learning the new skill paws up on. We focused on this skill to continue to build her confidence. Millie initially went into drop whenever she was around the bucket. Slowly she began to touch the bucket, however she continued to remain in drop. As the session progressed, she began to build her confidence and begin stepping on the bucket while standing. Millie completed this several times throughout the sessions. Focus: Foundation B
