Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: In her first session, Millie focused on building confidence around the classroom and trainers. The trainers worked on conditioning Millie using pats, cuddles and treats. Millie initially displayed nervous behaviours but slowly she began to relax and take treats within the classroom. When she was taking treats the trainers began to condition her reward maker 'yes'. Focus: Conditioning B
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: In her second session, Millie focused on learning the new skill 'place' within the classroom. Millie was initially hesitant to walk onto the bed, however with patients and treats she slowly began to place one paw then two and then all four. The trainer continued to use this session to charge her reward marker 'yes' as well as build her confidence surrounding the bed. Focus: Conditioning C+
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: In her final session, Millie completed a confidence walk around the pet retreat grounds. The purpose of this season was to expose her to several different, objects, people, smells and environments where she is confident and happy. Millie performed very well, she loved her walk and was very brave around scary statues, bins and loud birds. Focus: Confidence B
