Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Millie’s first session today was loose lead in the kennel aisle. It didn’t take Millie long to settle into this session. But she did jump up at some gates a couple of times. She also wanted to say hello to a couple of the dogs, so would pull towards them. Overall though Millie did well in this session, with lots of dog distractions. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Second session was ring the bell but using the treat and train machine. Millie did make the trainer laugh during this session. She would ring the bell to set the machine going but then back into the trainers legs while the machine whirred. At one point the machine took its time to get the treat out and poor Millie was ringing the bell trying hard to get the treat! It was great to see Millie really getting her mind ticking over to figure out what she needed to do. Focus: Repetition B+
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: Final session for Millie was drops by the big yards. Millie did break position a couple of times. However, Millie really did progress well and by the end of the session Millie held her drop, although reluctantly, while 2 dogs ran up and down the fence playing with each other. Millie was great holding her drop and just watching! Focus: Distraction B
