2024-02-08

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For her first session we worked on loose lead outside. It took Millie about 5 minutes to settle down into the skill (otherwise she was excitable moving ahead and kept moving in front of the trainer). Once settled she did well and we moved from the paved area to grass to increase the distraction for her. For the last 5 minutes we worked on her middles skill in the classroom - she was good if moving from a sit or drop but didn't always get it right if freely moving around before asking for middles. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Leave Comment: For her second session we worked on the leave it skill with food. Initially she was licking all over the closed hand but once we started getting some good repetitions of her looking away and rewarding she picked up on what was wanted very quickly. By the end of the session the trainer was able to put a small pile of food next to her with the "Leave it" verbal cue and she would look to the trainer instead. Keep working on this at home! Focus: Foundation B
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: For her last session we took Millie outside to work on her recalls. Millie is very focused with her training and it was quite easy to bring her in for recalls while moving around, even with the trainer running backwards and changing directions. She finished each recall in a sit in front of the trainer which is great! Keep up the fantastic work with this! Focus: Repetition B+

We recommend your next step should be…
