Miley was fantastic today! While a little off due to the weather today she put in some solid work into her skills and really had a fun time with the male trainer Sam!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|We focused on
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)
|Comment: For her first session today the trainer worked outside in the rain to help desensitise Miley to storms! The trainer just took her for a loose lead walk, not only is this good to desensitise her for walking is a good indicator if the dog is uncomfortable. Miley did so well with her walking in the rain today! She kept nice and close to the trainer and was checking in often with them! Not only this she sat at door ways for the trainer even when getting rained on! She was taken into the classroom at the end and dried off with a towel which is also a bit of vet holding training as well.
|Skill learnt: Place Training
|Comment: For her second session the trainer worked on her door manners. Since she has been almost going to her bed on her own when she hears the door the trainer helped work on this during this session. Instead of just keeping her on the bed when knocking on the door the frisbee actually had her off next to the bed and when they started knocking on the door they would then ask her to go to her bed while the door was knocking pairing the two together! In order to really link her like this to the door bell we do need the specific noise your door bell makes! If you could record it for us and send it to us we will be able to start using it in her training the same way as the door knocking.
|Skill learnt: Spin
|Comment: For her Kats session the trainer wanted to finish on some fun and so worked on a trick with Miley! The trick they worked on was her spin, however due to the rain she did start to get a little hesitant again. So the trainer worked on a little bit of touch conditioning in this stressful time and this seemed to calm Miley down a little bit more. The day was ended on another little walk outside in the storm, once outside she was great, she listened to commands and followed the trainer really well! It can be frustrating and annoying but next time you’re at home and there is some rain and stormy weather try do at least 5 minutes or some training outside, this will do so much for desensitising her towards this kind of weather.
We recommend your next step should be…

B: Great Work (80-89%) I mostly understand, Almost neat & complete! Needs practice in some areas. Mild distractions
C: Well Done (70-79%) Some good progress. Needs work, but on my way. Still learning. Low distractions.
D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.
X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
