Miley's Doggy Dayschool Report

2024-02-01

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: For her first session we worked on some paw handling conditioning by having Miley work on her paw print painting for our art week! Miley was quite excitable with the trainer initially and did have some jumping and small nipping at the trainer but we were able to settle her down into a drop for her painting. She handled it really well, she pulled her foot a few times but allowed the trainer to hold onto it and get some lovely artwork done to take home with her! Focus: Conditioning X
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For her second session we took Miley outside to work on her loose lead. She initially pulled ahead a bit but after turning around each time she did she settled down quickly into staying near the trainer. Make sure you are marking "uh uh" and turning around EVERY time she pulls ahead so that she is not rewarded for the behaviour. We also threw in a few emergency drops and she smashed each one, going into the drop right away so chuck in some obedience skills if she starts moving ahead. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: For her last session we worked on the place skill with half a dozen different objects. Miley did well with most of them (she did need some help with the big balance board) but needs a bit of work on her focus to see where the trainer is directing her to. The next step for this is to start adding more distance between the places and directing her from further away so keep practicing. Focus: Repetition B

We recommend your next step should be…
