Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: Mila’s first session today was focused on her manners and drops in the kennels. She is getting much better at settling down when leaving her kennel. After leaving the kennels we practiced her drops up and down the aisles where she could hear and see other dogs. She had a couple moments of being distracted but it was easy to redirect her focus back to the trainer. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Her second session today was focused on her loose lead and drops outside with distractions. We had people raking leaves and cutting branches so this was a great opportunity to test her focus and she absolutely smashed it! We were able to walk around the paddock and keep her focused on us. Mila is progressing super well with her engagement and settling around the trainer. Focus: Distraction A
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Mila’s last session today was focused on something fun, hanky pull. Since Mila already does well with pulling a rope we figured she would do well with this. We simply presented the hanky to her and waited for her to show a behaviour, straight away she pulled on it! This is really good so we decided to stuff the hanky in the top of a cone and leave a little bit for her to pull on. Mila did so well with this and was pulling the hanky out over and over again! Focus: Foundation A
