Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: In Milas first session we trained Loose lead walking. Now she is easily distracted and it is a hard skill for dogs to learn how to walk properly on a lead. If she’s out of control outside then train this skill inside or house or in the backyard where she’s less distracted. Hold your lead in your right hand and good in the left hand, lure her nose while walking, once she looks at your reward with ‘yes’ and treats. We want her to look at you so she knows your the one you is more important then anything going on around her. 15 minutes of training = an hours walk because there brain is walking as well, so your better of training this then taking her for a walk where all the training goes out the window. She did really well with me inside, does anything for treats. Focus: Repetition B
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: Milas second session we trained place with dog distractions. We had two other dogs in training which was fantastic for mila. She was very quite in this session, think the heat is getting to us all. She did really well though was laying on place and just watching the other dogs. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: Milas last session we trained drops duration around other dogs. She still isn’t the best at this skill but with practice she will get there, she didn’t take notice of the others dogs just wanted to chase the flies. Focus: Distraction B+

We recommend your next step should be…
