Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: In Milas first session we trained place with distance. At first she was distracted we had the roller door open and there were two dogs in the kennels where she could see them, after awhile she started to engage and did well. We slowly created distance with one step back then two and so on, if she broke on two step back we would take it back to one step if that makes sense. She eventually started to settle and was laying in the bed make sure we are rewarding for her laying down because that’s exactly what we want. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: In Milas second session we trained drops. Because it was the first time me training her we went back to the basics luring her into the drop threw her legs, eventually she started to understand and was doing really well. Then we progressed to doing the lure straight to the floor lots of yes and reward. Then adding the word in only when she’s dropping quite well. She did heaps well was distracted by the flies by the end but that’s okay. Focus: Repetition C+
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Milas last session we trained trained Loose lead walking. We tried this skill outside but there were to very dog reactive dogs where we normally do it and those dogs set every dog of!! So we trained this skill inside it did take her awhile to regain her engagement but she’s only young so has a lot of learning to do. Next session I would like to focus on this skill and next time hopefully be able to work outside. Focus: Repetition C+

We recommend your next step should be…
