Melo had a great day today! We did notice during his session he was a bit itchy and had a look and he seemed a bit irritated under his “shoulder” area when lifting his leg up and on his inner back legs.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|We focused on
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)
|Comment: First session Melo worked on his loose lead. Today we worked out in the carpark and on the grass with dog and people distractions. Melo started off a bit distracted so we did some drop (lay) repetitions to help get him engaging. He was better after that while on the gravel and engaging well. When we moved to the grass it took a few minutes to build his engagement back up around all the sniffs. Keep working on this at home.
|Skill learnt: Leave
|Comment: Melos second session we worked on his leave it. He is showing great progress with this from the last session. We were able to have a handful of kibble in our hand to start with and said leave it, when he disengaged from sniffing our closed hand we rewarded. We were then able to have an open hand and say leave it. By the end of the session we were able to have a handful of food on the floor and begin walking towards it, saying leave it and reward as he disengages from it. Great work Melo!
|Skill learnt: Recall
|Comment: Final session Melo worked on his recall. Today we worked out on the grass using both a normal length lead and a long line. Melo did well on the normal length lead, coming into his recall quickly and engaging with the trainer. When we moved to the long line he really struggled with his engagement and recalling back to the trainer and was a lot more interested in the smells of the grass, keep working on his recall in various environments.
We recommend your next step should be…

B: Great Work (80-89%) I mostly understand, Almost neat & complete! Needs practice in some areas. Mild distractions
C: Well Done (70-79%) Some good progress. Needs work, but on my way. Still learning. Low distractions.
D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.
X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
