It was great to meet and train Meka today. He is a sweet boy who loved learning new skills.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: In his first session, Meka focused on learning the new skill 'place' within the classroom (one dog training, multiple dogs in crates). Meka showed little understanding of this skill, the trainer went back to basics. Meka happily jumps onto the bed but struggled with duration. The trainer used a high reinforcement schedule (treat every 5 seconds) to encourage him to stay on place. This was slowly faded as he progressed throughout the session.||Focus: Foundation||C+|
|Skill learnt: Crate Training||Comment: In his second session Meka focused on learning the new skill 'crate' within the classroom. We focused on this skill to provide an alternative to place where he does not need to be supervised when people are over. Meka performed well, he happily followed treats into the crate. Meka does require some conditioning to the crate but performed well overall.||Focus: Foundation||C+|
|Skill learnt: Sit||Comment: In the final session, Meka focused on further developing his skill 'sit' within the classroom. Meka was initially distracted by other dogs and people in the classroom showing little engagement. As the session progressed he began to redirect his focus and perform well. He responds well to the verbal cue sit but struggled with duration, similarly to the other skills.||Focus: Foundation||B|
