|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For his first session we continued work on Meka's drop skill. Meka lacked engagement and focus in the classroom and so struggled to go into drop when asked. We worked on duration in drop - Meka can hold drop for a short while but can break very easily at small distractions. Work on the drop skill daily at home and work towards having him stay in in for increasingly longer periods before releasing him.||Focus: Duration||C+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: For his second skill we worked on place to help Meka to settle and work on impulse control. Meka was a bit distracted at the start but improved quickly over the session. He was able to be sent to place from a good distance and by the end of the session could stay on place with the trainer jogging and jumping around him which is great progress! Keep working on this at home and start slowly increasing the distraction level for him.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Crate Training||Comment: For his last session we spent a bit of time on crate conditioning as Meka had some hesitation going into the crate between sessions. By throwing food into the crate Meka was quickly going into the crate with his whole body. We also worked briefly on building some duration and having Meka wait until released before coming out of the crate even with the door open. He did really well with this and improved very quickly over the session. At the end he even went fully into the crate on his own with no treats to lure him.||Focus: Repetition||B+|
