|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Recall||Comment: In his first session, Maverick focused on further developing his recall while at the pony club with distractions. We focused on this skill to build his engagement and overall performance with his recall. Today the trainers worked on Mav coming away from distractions. Mav performed well he responds well to the recall command 'come' well stopping to look at the trainer. However, when he is sniffing or highly distracted he does require some extra help to return to the trainer. Overall he performed well and showed good progress throughout the session.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: In his second session, Mav focused on learning the new skill Heel while in the busy classroom. We focused on this skill to build his focus and engagement while around distractions. As this is new we focused on maintaining his focus in this position. Mav followed a lure into the Heel position on the trainer's left side well. When stationary he showed good focus, once the trainer began to move he did struggle with engagement but with some guidance, he successfully maintains his focus while taking a couple of steps.||Focus: Foundation||C+|
|Skill learnt: Middle Position||Comment: In his final session, Mav focused on further developing his skills middle within the busy classroom. We focused on this skill as Mav has been struggling with his middle recently. Mav initially require a lure to move into the middle position, but as the session progressed this faded. He holds good duration while in this position and shows good focus.||Focus: Back to Basics||C+|
