Mav was a bit unfocused at the beginning but settled into training really well. Some small areas to improve upon but he is doing really well!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Mav was very excitable and unfocused at the start of the session so we took him into the cattery to work on his loose lead with emergency drops to refocus his attention. Once into training mode he settled well and after not doing the first emergency drop while the trainer kept walking he dropped each time after. He also held the drops well until released every time. He did get distracted by another trainer walking by and didn't drop when asked so this is an area to improve on.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object)||Comment: We continued with Mav's paws up skill for his second session, with the focus of having each paw on a different pod. Mav was quite good with his attempts today - while he only did the skill a few times he was much closer in his missed attempts than before. This is a really good skill to teach Mav how to slow down and focus on what is being asked which is something he can struggle with.||Focus: Repetition||B+|
|Skill learnt: Middle Position||Comment: For his last session we worked on middles with Mav. Mav was a little uncertain and distracted at the start but after a few lured middles he was right back to being able to do them with a verbal cue and minor hand gesture. Mav is doing well with his progress walking along with the trainer in the middles position though he does need encouragement with a lure to stay in the correct position. Well done Mav!||Focus: Distance||B|
