Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: We worked on his loose lead walking outside for his first session. He did really well in the carpark with another dog walking around also working on his loose lead. He got a little bit distracted when the kennel dogs started barking, he overcame this slowly but wasn’t 100% engaged. To improve this it can be practiced in slightly lower distracting environments. He did very well with the other dog distraction though. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: He did very well with the drop durations indoors, he didn’t break position at all. Used tennis balls and soccer balls all around him and he didn’t show any signs of breaking, he looked at the tennis balls and wanted to play but he never stood up. Also worked on his RLGL drops, he did very well, but slow to drop into position. He did all this with dog distractions. Next step would be to practice outside. Focus: Duration B+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: For his last session there was a lot of dog distractions in the class room. He was very engaged during training. He would go to place with just a verbal cue. He did break place once during the entire session. Overall he did very well. To finish the session off we worked on his loose lead walking, he did very well and was super engaged. The kennel dogs did not seem to distract him as much as the first session. Focus: Distraction A
