Mav struggled with some of his basics today and was not as engaged with the trainer as usual. Keep on top of training at home and work on keeping him focused during sessions.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: For his first session we worked on loose lead outside on the grass with Mav. He was quite distracted and took a little bit to engage with the trainer. We also practiced drops while walking but Mav would stop and scratch himself every time he was asked to drop so this part was largely unsuccessful. At the end though he was walking very nicely on the lead though his focus wasn't the best.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For his second session we took Mav into the cattery to work on his emergency drops as he had struggled with his drops outside. At the start of the session Mav was still struggling and needed a very clear and deliberate hand signal in front of his face to go into drop. Even when he would drop he would move around in front of the trainer before dropping instead of dropping at the side. He did get a bit better by the end but this skill needs more work as he was not at his usual level.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object)||Comment: As Mav had struggled with some of his skills today we finished off with paws up on the balance board as something easier and more fun to do. Mav did well with this though he would be cheeky sometimes and only put one paw on or put his paws right on the edge. He did do a few perfect balanced paws ups though which was great and he had good duration for the skill in most attempts.||Focus: Duration||B|
