|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: In Mates first session we trained drops with duration, first he was abit distracted and wouldn’t listen after awhile he started to engage with the trainer and would listen, he would break quite abit from his ‘down’ position so we were pumping him treats and not leaving him in that position for long. When he would get up I would put my foot on the lead close to him and say ‘nah ahh’ and because it is a uncomfortable position he would then go back down, if you let him do what he wants he will never improve so that’s why we have to correct dogs. In his next level I’d like to practice this more with him, but towards the end of his session he had already improved.||Focus: Duration||B|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: In his second session we trained Loose lead walking. At the start we didn’t have a dog in training which was good for him because he is very easily distracted. He improved a lot since we first started. Once another dog came into training he was abit distracted at first, then he progressed slowly but we still have some work to do with this skill.||Focus: Duration||C+|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: In mates last session we trained place with ball distractions. We started slowly just holding the ball then throwing and catching it, then we went to bouncing the ball. He progressed really well, but once another dog came in again he completely lost engagement he was just focused on the other dog and would try and get to him. This just takes practice and he will get there eventually and we will continue to work him around other dogs.||Focus: Distraction||B|

B: Great Work (80-89%) I mostly understand, Almost neat & complete! Needs practice in some areas. Mild distractions
C: Well Done (70-79%) Some good progress. Needs work, but on my way. Still learning. Low distractions.
D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.
X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
