Skill | Comment | We focused on | Grade |
---|---|---|---|
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) | Comment: For his first session today Marvel worked on his loose lead skills. Today the focus was on human distractions so as they took marvel around for a loose lead walk the focused on also doing drop and sit around people as they were doing work in the garden, they would stop and chat briefly and then would walk away calmly with Marvel. He did so well needing minimal treats and rewards to keep focused on the trainer and had a great first session getting nice and ready for the rest of the day by also charging his markers. | Focus: Obedience | B+ |
Skill learnt: Place Training | Comment: For his second session today Marvel was taken back into the cattery for a little bit of place training. Since last time he had been in there the staff had put a lot more birds and cats in the cattery and so the distraction were even higher for Marvel! He did so well this session not only keeping a nice long duration of place while the trainer walked around the cattery but he was also able to break off place and return to place with ease, all in all this was a great second session one which while a bit challenging seemed like a lot of fun for Marvel as he really seemed to enjoy being in the cattery! | Focus: Distraction | B |
Skill learnt: Trick Training | Comment: For his last session today the trainer wanted to end on some fun and so did some trick training with marvel! Instead of focusing on just one the trainer today did a few skills that Marvel knew in quick succession with each other forming a little trick routine! The tricks used today were spin, twirl, roll over, middles and high 5! He did so well with this and had an absolute blast ending his day with a nice fun session and use up some of that excess energy ready to go home and rest after his big day! | Focus: Repetition | B |
