Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: Marie’s first session was a confidence walk. The trainer took her into the paddock and Marie met the cow through the fence. She did a great job, and although she was hesitant at first Marie was able to take treats while quite near the cow. Great first session. Focus: Confidence X
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: Next up was place. The trainer lured Marie on and then off again a number of times to help Marie learn that the blue bed was place. She was taking treats and did well with other dogs training around her and was even comfortable with another unknown trainer coming up to her! Going forward it will be good to add some distance and push some slightly higher distractions. Focus: Distraction C+
Skill learnt: Obstacle Course (Confidence Building) Comment: Last up for Marie was going to be drop, however at this point she was not wanting to do much. She was very distracted by the goings on in the classroom and she’d already been working hard. So the trainer took her to the confidence course. Marie was hesitant about going into the course, but once in she did a great job and cruised straight around. It was awesome to see her go through without any worries at all. Focus: Confidence X
