Marcel's Doggy Dayschool Report

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: For his first session we just worked on conditioning Marcel to the trainer in the kennel run. Marcel was wary of the trainer and would create space but did not show any reactivity such as barking or growling. The trainer worked on throwing treats to him and using his "yes" marker for familiarity and broke up this session into multiple smaller sessions to help give him time to decompress between sessions. Focus: Conditioning X
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: For his second session we were able to get a slip lead on to lead him around the property to help build his confidence. He was very nervous and pulling everywhere on the lead but as we progressed and spent time in places just sitting and watching he did improve (though had some moments of lying down and not wanting to go anywhere). He was a bit distracted by some people he could see around but no barking (besides one small woof at a male trainer) which is so good for him! Focus: Confidence X
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: For his last session we took him into the classroom as this would be somewhat familiar to him. He was able to sit and watch in the corner with up to 3 other people in the classroom and another dog out without barking (though was distracted). He was happier receiving pats from the trainer this session and after putting him away in the kennel run he seemed a lot more confident, moving up to them as they were leaving (whereas he had created space in the first session). This was a big day for Marcel but he definitely was more confident by the end of the day! Focus: Conditioning X
