Maple has a great understanding of her skills however requires more proofing to be able to use these skills in public or around distracting environments
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Maple was so excited when she saw the trainers today! They started loose lead from the kennels and worked their way up to the classroom. Maple was very distracted today and struggled to walk nicely in the kennels, on the grass and in the carpark. She was not responding to any cues to encourage her to settle (drop) so the trainer reduced the distractions and focused on loose lead with engagement on the pavement. She didn't fully recover her focus but she improved.||Focus: Distraction||C|
|Skill learnt: Play||Comment: This session the trainer worked with Maple in the classroom to help increase her engagement. They played 2 types of engagement games, the first where you mark when she looks at you and roll the reward to the side. She responded well to this. The second was a game of play with a toy. She needed some razzing up to get her interested but the aim was for her to return the toy to the handler. This also worked very well.||Focus: Back to Basics||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: The trainer noticed that Maple was mostly distracted by people and would pull towards them. This session focused on proofing her drops in distracting environments (with and without people). She required reminding occasionally but started to show improvement with complying with the command when asked.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
