|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: Manny’s first session was a confidence walk which ended up being people and dog socialisation. Due to a course there was a group of people with dogs standing around talking. The trainer kept Manny at a distance where he was confident enough to take treats and take an interest but not be stressed. It was a great session for Manny.||Focus: Desensitisation||B|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Next session for Manny was place. The trainer did this outside in the training area and Manny did really well with this and only broke a few times when the trainer moved around him. At one point he offered his paw to the trainer which was lovely. And lots of cuddles were had. Going forward it will be good to introduce a few more distractions for Manny while in place. On return to the office Manny saw the caretakers unloading boxes from their car. Although this was a little distance away Manny struggled to walk up the driveway and tried to back track down. The trainer took it slow and used treats and made it back the office. It was good for many to have that distraction and work through it.||Focus: Repetition||B|
|Skill learnt: Obstacle Course (Confidence Building)||Comment: Final session for Manny was the confidence course. Like last time he was hesitant but was soon running around it quite well. He gets quite happy when he makes it around and that’s what we want to see. On the way back to the office Manny was once again socialised to people and dogs. This time closer. He did stop taking treats but sat by the trainers side while people talked around him. He did really well.||Focus: Repetition||X|
